A group of us visited during the Art Is Festival. What a wonderful find. Tucked away at the foot of the Grampians, Deirdre's hospitality was a delight. After a stroll through the olives we shared platters of delicous food with the highlight being the gorgeous board of deserts. Thankyou Deirdre! View all feedback.
I have eaten here on some occasions and never disappointed... Food and service are on site. Don't let the trip go there to get there... that just adds to the experience.
Do yourself a favour. Head to the Grampians and have lunch or dinner at Deirdre's. Local, fresh produce. Desserts to die for.
I can recommend Deidres for beautiful food in a modern rustic environment. A cool oasis on a hot day; Plates of beautiful ingredients and selection of local wines and beer. It's a couple's way from the highway. They're not... destroyed.
This place is located in the middle of an olive grove with great view back onto the escarpments around Halls Gap. We flew here by helicopter as it was part of a package, scenic flight and lunch. well what a lunch. It was a set...menu but I am sure you could have made changes if requested.Four courses and drinks included. Absolutely lovely.
We were expelled from our hotel to Deirdre and were not disappointed. Diving for lunch without a booking we found the restaurant was empty, but Deirdre was pleased to provide us with a lunch from the limited selection. We shared a smoked juniper salad, the juniper was absolutely delicious and composed of avocado, beans and other salad greens. We also shared a fried chicken Caesar style salad. The chicken was moist, the croutons crispy, the salad fresh and from a delicious garlic dressing compliment. Deirdre was very friendly and informative. The scenery with Grampians as a backdrop made it a nice lunch stop and we intend to try a wider selection.
