Description

Perched on Whaler’s Village waterfront, this lively beachside restaurant serves breezy ocean views, live music and a famously indulgent Hula Pie. Service is generally attentive and family-friendly, with covered patios and a bar offering cocktails and a prix-fixe early dinner. Food ranges from excellent (ahi, mahi mahi with crab, pork shank, wok-charred spinach) to merely decent or uneven, and some menu items aren’t customizable. Expect crowds, reservations, sandy/gravel flooring near tables, and a memorable seaside atmosphere worth trying at least once.

This is a great spot to visit at Whaler's Village. It was our second time here, having come several years ago. The restaurant tends to be busy most of the time, but the service is excellent. Our server, Maddie, did a fantastic job taking care of us. I ordered the roasted chicken, which was decent—though a bit dry—and the sweet potato mash was enjoyable. I also got a side of wok-charred spinach, which was outstanding. My wife ordered the Mahi Mahi topped with crab, and she loved it. Our group of nine all had a great dining experience. The ambiance is unbeatable; we sat under an overhang but still enjoyed a lovely tropical breeze, and the weather was just perfect. I appreciate the live music they have as well. On the downside, I ended up spending quite a bit of money at the shops in Whaler's Village on our way to and from dinner!

Absolutely! Just go ahead and make a reservation in advance on Open Table. We were seated right away for dinner with no wait at all. I ordered the Ahi Steak, and it was amazing—cooked to perfection, and the side noodles were delicious. My husband chose the mahi mahi topped with crab, and both dishes were excellent. Our 6-year-old enjoyed some of the mahi mahi and my noodles. The dessert was fantastic too, a large ice cream pie that you definitely have to try!

Our waiter was attentive and very helpful. Interestingly, this place serves Coca-Cola products, while the partner restaurant across the way does not. For my main course, I ordered the fish tacos, which were just average. Given that they included jalapeño aioli and chipotle salsa, I expected some spice, but they turned out to be quite bland. My husband, on the other hand, had the pork shank, which he absolutely loved—plus, it looked amazing. He mentioned that the risotto was rich in saffron but lacked a strong coconut flavor. My mom tried the flatbread with Thai chili sauce, and it was, of course, delicious. I’ll be dreaming about the bread service until our next visit!

Delicious! This restaurant is located right on the beach, providing a perfect spot for people-watching and taking in the sights of sailboats and the soothing sounds of the ocean. The dining area is fully covered, with shaded patios and awnings over the tables, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors comfortably. The service is excellent, too—the friendly staff, particularly our knowledgeable waiter, could easily explain the menu options, flavors, and popular dishes. Whether you're in casual attire or dressed up for a nice evening out, you'll feel right at home here. The live music throughout the day adds a special touch to the atmosphere. We tried the tacos and pork, which were among the best we've had on the island. Make sure to stop by, soak in the ambiance, enjoy the delicious food, and appreciate the attentive staff. You'll have a fantastic time and leave feeling satisfied!

We love Hula Grill. Great for small plates or a big meal. Staff was fun with our large party of 10! Don't forget the Hula Pie
