Beach - Lahaina
Beach
Description
Perched on Whaler’s Village waterfront, this lively beachside restaurant serves breezy ocean views, live music and a famously indulgent Hula Pie. Service is generally attentive and family-friendly, with covered patios and a bar offering cocktails and a prix-fixe early dinner. Food ranges from excellent (ahi, mahi mahi with crab, pork shank, wok-charred spinach) to merely decent or uneven, and some menu items aren’t customizable. Expect crowds, reservations, sandy/gravel flooring near tables, and a memorable seaside atmosphere worth trying at least once.

After placing our order with the bartender, my official Original Hula Pie experience was about to begin. Within just five minutes, the Hula Pie was in front of me. For those unfamiliar with this heavenly treat, it's essentially ice cream served on a crust that tastes like a homemade chocolate Oreo, topped generously with whipped cream. After my first bite, I instantly understood why my husband couldn't stop talking about it. It was that delicious! We polished it off within minutes. Even though I knew my blood sugar would spike, I momentarily didn't care because the indulgence of the Hula Pie was worth every bite. When you’re in the area, make sure to try The Original Hula Pie. It's a must-have for everyone, and the restaurant's location right by the water offers a beautiful beach view, adding to the delightful atmosphere!
Delicious! This restaurant is located right on the beach, providing a perfect spot for people-watching and taking in the sights of sailboats and the soothing sounds of the ocean. The dining area is fully covered, with shaded patios and awnings over the tables, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors comfortably. The service is excellent, too—the friendly staff, particularly our knowledgeable waiter, could easily explain the menu options, flavors, and popular dishes. Whether you're in casual attire or dressed up for a nice evening out, you'll feel right at home here. The live music throughout the day adds a special touch to the atmosphere. We tried the tacos and pork, which were among the best we've had on the island. Make sure to stop by, soak in the ambiance, enjoy the delicious food, and appreciate the attentive staff. You'll have a fantastic time and leave feeling satisfied!
The food was excellent, and our server Tatiana was outstanding – she truly deserves an A+. This is a fantastic spot to enjoy seafood.
Our waiter was attentive and very helpful. Interestingly, this place serves Coca-Cola products, while the partner restaurant across the way does not. For my main course, I ordered the fish tacos, which were just average. Given that they included jalapeño aioli and chipotle salsa, I expected some spice, but they turned out to be quite bland. My husband, on the other hand, had the pork shank, which he absolutely loved—plus, it looked amazing. He mentioned that the risotto was rich in saffron but lacked a strong coconut flavor. My mom tried the flatbread with Thai chili sauce, and it was, of course, delicious. I’ll be dreaming about the bread service until our next visit!
