This place was really great. I had the copper top burger which really was amazing. The service was good and they had a nice beer selection. I appreciate that they allow children since Indiana can be pretty strict about that. It was packed and kinda noisy but other than that it was a great experience. View all feedback.
What Larry F doesn't like about Coppertop Tavern:
I'm not sure what's going on with this place but it seems to be going downhill fast! Three employees walked out the other night I'm not sure what the hell is going on there! They require masks to enter and supposedly the employees are to wear masks. Most of the front of house employees have a mask on but most do not cover their nose! It appears The kitchen does not require masks! Another reason why I won't order food... View all feedback.
Horrible service!!! Horrible Experience!!! Even sitting at the bar we could not get a drink. Everyone seemed stressed. Bartender wanted a margarita with a bar guest. Everything around here closes so early you would think they would be better. People were just taking tables even though they were on a wait amd not told to wait they were just served. Someone needed to do glasses because they did not have enough They are very clean. Please add more staff hours especially over 4th of July! A table seated after us was served way before us. They had their orders taken and we had not even been greeted by our server. They were out of ribeye on a busy holiday weekend. No one ever told us their names. This is ABSOLUTLEY a HORRIBLE experience!!!!! So LOUD in family dining...7 tables that seat 5+, 1 that sat 2. The Bar had 4 tables that seat 4. 9 were able to sit at the bar. Not enough seating Do not order a long island.....it is a mix. The only true long island they do is a top shelf.

It's really too bad, originally the place was a super good places to eat and visit with friends. Ever since its sale things have gone downhill.
Sorry, we ran out of bluegill at lunch! Those words were enough to send a chill through any ice fisherman, especially one who 'd traveled across the continent for that azure delicacy. But, not to worry: the standard fish and fries substituted perfectly well. The cod was perfectly coated in a nicely seasoned batter and fried to a golden glow; the taste of the fish itself proved it had been well-handled, if not freshly caught. (Kudos to Clarence Birdseye! The 5-piece portion was substantial, and the accompanying fries and slaw were also great, the latter not cloyingly creamy, as sometimes happens elsewhere. As an appetizer, the fried 'shrooms were as good as ever; perfectly spiced, battered, and cooked. Service was friendly and efficient, and the crowd its usual gregarious self. Happy New Year, Coppertop, and best wishes for continued success in 2017!
The waitress was super nice. Their food was great. Most importantly, the are Cubs fan! Go Cubs
