We’ve eaten here before and always enjoyed it but this time we felt like unless you were local they weren’t bothered. We spent a fair bit of money on food and wine but because we were a couple not a big group we we unnoticed we could have left without paying and no one would have noticed. Amazing experience at La Locanda del Cantiere! The small botique hotel experience was much more pleasant than a large hotel, and it was in a beautiful area with many things to do nearby. Very helpful that it has on-site parking to not have to worry about finding a space. Breakfast was also a step above the average continental breakfast served at hotels in the area, with a very good selection of fruits. Despite some construction in the area it was still quiet enough for our standards and the view was still great!
Mini premessa “economica”: mi resta particolarmente complicato comprendere come sia possibile spendere 45€ a testa in quattro, per aver pranzato con 2 antipasti (divisi), 2 primi, 2 secondi, 4 caffè, acqua e 1 birra. In genere e in base alla zona la media è questa ma -perdonatemi il pensiero generalizzato- mangiare fuori diventa sempre meno spensierato. Detto ciò, pranzo assolutamente buono. Cucina curata, location splendida (l’interno del locale è curato e delizioso). Ottimo cibo, portate sostanziose, staff cortese e professionale.

Location was excellent with a great ambience. However our food was not worthy of the price charged. My fish had so many bones, that I just stopped eating it and it was flavorless. My husbands dinner was bland. No one ever checked on us, nor offered bread or water. We were basically ignored by the staff and finally had to wave someone down to ask for dessert. However, the tiramisu was AMAZING and it helped our feelings toward the experience a small bit. We would not recommend this restaurant and would never go back. Finally to pay, we had to go to the register and ask for our check. They seemed to care very little about small tables that were not locals.
