Smittybread Bakery Cafe - Lafayette

I had the opportunity to compare two loaves of sourdough rye bread: one from the renowned Acme Bread Company in San Francisco and the other from Smitty Bread. I have to say, Smitty's is not just better—it's significantly better! The rye flavor is much more pronounced. Don't miss out on this world-class bakery right in our own neighborhood. Great job, Smitty!

So far, we've tried the seeded sourdough bread, the regular croissant, the almond croissant, and the baguette, and it is undoubtedly the best in town. I highly recommend it!

I dropped by today for some weekend treats and had a wonderful experience. The almond croissant was warm, flaky, and absolutely delicious—definitely the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tasted many across Europe! The service was also incredibly sweet and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

This place is fantastic! Their breads are incredible, and I've never tasted a better chocolate croissant. By the way, their pretzels are unreal—especially when enjoyed at People's Brewing with your favorite pint!

I stopped by for a sandwich and ended up getting some bread too! Both were amazing. This place is simple and cozy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about the delightful aroma in the air as well. What a fantastic spot!
