Millie's Kitchen - Lafayette

Food is delicious and reliable for a decent breakfast. Millie is definitely a reason for the area. Since the new property, my partner and I have not received good service. When picking up food for delivery, the manager/owner was very short and rude, and we experienced this with more than one occasion.

Food was okay! It's something that I could make at home definitely but I would say that the omelette is good! The pancakes were okay, the avocado toast was okay and the pancakes were fine but the chorizo omelette is good!

Eggs Benedict served without an English Muffin on the bottom? Odd. I asked for fruit side and polenta so they put eggs on polenta. Hollandaise does not taste as if made from scratch. Gave it a C at best. Not cheap either $17. No offer of coffee refill although server did refill next table but failed to inquire if I would like refill. Noisy and too close indoors. Do not go on weekends. I ate it though.

This morning was our first visit to the new site for AK. Other than the physical surroundings, nothing too much has changed. The menu is very diverse for both breakfast (all day and lunch (after 11:00! and the portions large and very reasonably priced. Service was terrific. One of the owners even recognized us from their previous location after almost a year and we received a very friendly greeting. We had the Patty Melt and the BLLT, which were both delicious and large enough to require us to bring half of each sandwich home for dinner tonight. You can't beat that for value! The inside dining area is a bit small with chairs for about 36 patrons, so a wait may be involved depending on the level of business at the time it's worth it.

The white guy that hands out doordash orders is always so rude, he has No customer service skills, He needs to work on his people skills.
