El Portillo - Lafayette

That's the best Mexican food I ever had. I know this is a courageous statement, but I'm standing on it. I accidentally ate here six years ago when I visited Lafayette. I got the Fajitas, and my mind was blown. Over the past six years, I have been thinking about this place at least once a month. When I came through this week, I made a point to stop for lunch. I have to go the Texana fajitas (Shrimp, Chicken, Beef and chorizo), a Tamale (Bef) and some Sopaipillas. I also have a beer and chips/salsa. After this meal, the conclusion was strengthened: the best Mexican cuisine I ever had.

A sweet little restaurant. Super friendly staff and fast service. The taste was on point. I had a delicious meal...Fajitas btw we super delicious.

No bad place to enjoy a fast Mexican meal. We sat immediately and had delicious margaritas and chips salsa brought to our table in no time. I had the Asada Tacos for a duck that was very good. The sauce served with them is very spicy and yet delicious. The staff was beautiful and accommodating.

I hate Margaritas! This place has changed my mind! This is the only place I'm going for a margarita! The food is always hot and delicious! The staff is friendly and always smiling! The atmosphere is so inviting!

My favorite place to get Mexican food. Love the salsa bar. Margaritas are ok but the food is great. Always fresh.
