Το Ανώι Του Πατουνα (coffee Bar Restaurant)

Super friendly owner and energetic healthy cute dog, great food super tasty! Definitely come for a visit again when I will return to Greece in the future.

While in Rhodes we always searched for smaller, less crowded restaurants. This wasn’t too hard since we went in September and during the covid pandemic, however that wasn’t exactly what we meant. And so we drove or walked from place to place in order to find family owned restaurants. There were some hits and misses but when you do find such a hidden gem it is hard to forget. For me such a gem was a restaurant in the middle of the island. We drove there randomly without checking if anything is even open and to no surprise, the first three places were shut and then we walked into a small restaurant where and older woman was preparing some food, a big dog resembling a german shepherd on the floor and a man (an owner I think) telling us to sit wherever we like. That was the place were we ate the best Greek food. I also asked the owner if he knew a place where I could buy some olive oil and olives. He later sold me a liter of olive oil that he makes himself (apparently the olives were yet to be picked and marinated). Also, the honest recommendation we have received when it comes to the food, was super impressive. The best not touristy at all, spot on the island.

Very nice family-owned restaurant. Lovely people. Amazing cooking skills and “à la minute” cuisine (they don’t have a micro-wave) and the taste says it all... Everything is fresh and balanced.Try the goat with chickpeas with simple seasonal vegetables. Also the souvlaki is succulent.If only we had the time to come back

Typical local Greek dishes. Very delicious, all freshly prepared. Very nice host, very friendly. It was a very beautiful and delicious evening.
