Heard the news of closing.. very sad. Was there 3 weeks ago and would like to give the server Morgan her flowers. Very nice girl.. wouldn’t make an issue of bringing us extra chase and voluntarily brought out water for us as well. Took some shots with us and made sure we were well situated. Luxy fell off.. it’s not like how it use to be. The music is terrible now, it usd to be all dancehall, soca, hiphop, now it’s music I heard at middle school dances… the crowed is super weird and the DJ can’t read the room… how are u gunna go from playing vybz Kartel to Bruno mars and the whole crowd booed the man yet he kept carrying on with lame tracks… no one was really dancing and the audience wasn’t feeling the m... We had a VIP booth for bday celebration, the stuff were friendly nice vibes, but drinks are too expensive Haha all in all really nice club.
This club is so grimey now. The DJ was terrible, the bartenders don’t acknowledge women, there’s literally no dress code. It’s not worth going to at all. The best part was the people smoking joints right in front of the security in the middle of the club.
The security are thieves rude got in line waited 1 1/2 to get in and never did . They were only letting in reg and people who paid 20 for the entrance and 20 to skip the line when we asked they said we are only letting women in because a club full of men is no good but guess what most men are who pay for these women to get turnt so why not let men in as well gender bias at its best
This is my first time in luxy after 2 years given covid ; the security company think of individuals as a nuisance especially after you have paid for the night : prior to paying for the night you are considered a saint. After paying , you’re going to be kicked out even if you did nothing wrong.They are a money grabbing enterprise independent of the customer having a good time or not.
I got beated by two men in here tonight because they thought I was standing in their spot. They attacked me and the security dropped ME out. I think because they were regulars. Not safe, not recommended.
