Hot mocha is my drink of choice. As much as I've traveled and frequent coffee shops throughout the states, The Coffee Bean has become my #1 spot in the Lacey/Olympia area. Their mocha is consistent in flavor and temperature regardless of who makes it in the shop. That tells me they adhere to an established standard. Other places its either two sweet or too strong...or even too hot to drink right away. Not the case wi... View all feedback.
What Kaia Hawk doesn't like about The Coffee Bean:
Husband and I grabbed one of their cake batter drink to split. Came out to over $10 for one drink. There are no prices listed on the board. In order to tip that brings it up to $11 or $12. That's absurd. View all feedback.
Been here a few times, because it's very conveniently located for my morning commute. Unfortunately, I've had to go out of my way to get coffee now, because this place just isn't doing well. The coffee is often disappointing. It's either too sweet, lukewarm, or missing the sweetener altogether. Twice now I have had an hour and a half drive ahead of me and specifically asked them to make it hotter (when I ordered it), but received a drink that I wouldn't consider hot at all. The second time I even requested an exact temp of 180, but it must have been barely 90. Never had a coffee shop mess that up so badly.Service was about average, no real complaints there (other than getting a requested temp wrong). Could be more friendly sometimes, but usually fine.Wouldn't recommend. Give this place a shot, if you're feeling risky but, if you need some good coffee, look elsewhereParking: Not many parking spaces, but the ones that are there are usually open.
Unfortunately One Bad Seed can mess it up for everybody. Their coffee is amazing! But one of their workers does not know anything about customer service. One time she took my order and made my drink handed me the coffee and I gave her my card but for some reason my card was not working and I didn't have any cash on me so she ended up asking for it back just to throw it away. I was going to let that time go, maybe she was having a bad day and I couldn't pay so whatever but then again I come back and it's her again. A gift for my order and even apologize about my car not working the time before my bank had mistakenly put a hold on my account. I told her what size I wanted and paid for my drink while she was making it giving her a $2 tip only for her to hand me my drink and I realize it wasn't the right size of course it was smaller so instead of just fixing it because she was the one who made the mistake she wanted me to pay for it in the right size (less than $1 difference) I get that it's just minor but to me it's a big deal you can just throw away a drink but you can't just correct the size when you mess up. How about instead of you having a $2 tip you can put that towards the difference in price because it was your mistake. From now on IF I go back there and she is at the window, I'm just going to leave

This review is more for management rather then the baristas.I have been coming to this stand when it was the coffee bean, great service and friendly staff. That change over time when it was sold and new ownership took over.Started with lack of product, and discontinued food items. Change of prices without proper notifications. Then supervisor/ shift leader were changing which brought whole new change and not in good way. That individual has a rude attitude and never smiles, which has driven several customers to find other stands. The girls work there butts off, and sometimes long hours. They have gone far and beyond for my business.
I just love their coffee, the great staff, and that I can get a free coffee with my rewards card. Thanks gals for all that you do! You're the best!!!
