I have enjoyed this establishment for years. Their food is so much better than many of the other local chain restaurants. Our order arrived quicker than we anticipated and was a good sized portion. I wish I could eat there more often. View all feedback.
What Darnell Kebo doesn't like about Tea Leaf 2:
03/02/2024: Pretty standard American Chinese food. The two of us ordered the chicken wings, honey walnut shrimp, a special A and C. Chicken wings came hot and freshly fried. Nice a crispy. I would not recommend the honey walnut shrimp. There was too much sauce which was overpowering and the walnuts were quite crunchy. Our specials included egg roll and fried rice. One with sweet sour chicken and Mongolian beef the other with sweet sour pork and chicken chow mein. The batter wasn't too thick and had a nice crunch. Noodles were crispy style and short noodles like on a salad topping, not my preference. Mongolian beef was a bit charred. We'll go back to try other dishes.Overall we were satisfied and service was really friendly and prompt.
I’m not sure what happened to this place, this has always been one of my families favorite places since I was a kid. The past year we’ve experienced less then good food but we stuck to supporting our favorite local business. This year I’ve had enough. With the increase in prices, the decrease in portions and changes to the flavor and cooking of food I’m not sure I’ll return. The food we picked up on Valentine’s Day was horrible. Stale rice that sat way too long, meat was nothing like it used to be and our containers were half full and full of grease that ruined the diner. For the price we paid I feel this should have been so much better.Hope they can pull it together and fast.

Thurston County just does not have good Chinese food. The food was ok. It wasn't bad but it was not satisfying my desire to eat good Chinese. The place was clean. The service was really good and friendly. I really want to like this place and though I like the woman that served us I was not in love with the food. I drove all the way from west Olympia to try it out so at least my curiosity was filled but my heart was left half empty.
I've been here a few times. The waiters and waitresses here are phenomenal. Very friendly and some of the fastest service I've seen at a sit-down restaurant. Aside from that, I consider it some of, if not the best, Chinese food in the area. The portions are a little smaller than typical Chinese places, and they're a lottle spendy, but they make up for it with flavor and great service. My favorite from them so far is probably the Mongolian beef. And their egg flower soup was really good too!
