WE had the portebello, goat cheese hamburger. O-M-G it was so good. We also had for desert the maple syrup creme brule and carrot cake. What a excellent choice. We were amazed once again at the very good food that is serve in this establishment. View all feedback.
What Luzia Stadelmann doesn't like about Chez Eric Cafe Bistro:
The day we went there we were told that the French owners were not around. We were sitted on the first floor and there was loud English language speaking, with some inappropriate words at time, coming from the kitchen. The food was above average, but we waited over 50 minutes for it. Great food, nice location, the building needs renovations. We went in the last week of this nice restaurant in Wakefield with another couple, with Groupons. We had a previous excellent experience there last year. The food was very tasty, a little bit spicy. The restaurant was very busy as it was its last weekend (I guess). We had an issue when applying the Groupons, the owner was extremely rude (accusing us to be disrespectful, and being the reason small businesses like his go out of business), when actually it was a miscommunication between him and the waitress.Regardless, we enjoyed the food, I hope its CHEF will find another home (CONGRATS!).

Nice little place, nice food, and great atmosphere!! Services was good and also great selection of wine
The first night my husband ordered the Trout/Salmon Combo dish that he absolutely loved; I had the pork chops that was served topped with a delicious cheese, marinated, roasted apples, seasoned pumpkin seeds on top of a bed of well seasoned mashed potatoes and green beans ... the flavours were amazing ... so much so that I encouraged my husband to return the second night of our stay in Wakefield to order the pork chop dish, and he as well said it was one of the best meals he had eaten. The second night, I ordered something lighter ie. the lental curry with yogurt, rice ... it too was delicious. We would like to know the name of the chef that prepared our meals on June 23 and 24 ... so we can keep track of you in case you ever relocate! We think you are an amazing Chef and know how to combine flavours!
We won't hesitate visiting this fine indoors/outdoor patio again and look forward to meeting our Chef, Edward and his staff who were so attentive and knowledgeable.
