What User doesn't like about Buzzards Bar & Grill:
This beach shack offers cheap food and a front row seat on the water. Sounded pretty good.A couple of things would keep me from going again. It is really hard to find and can't be seen from the highway. It is near what appears to be a building that took a hit from a storm and is not in good condition. The area felt a little dicey -- like that place under the bridge where the teens went to hang out. Our food was medio... View all feedback.
Been coming here for 12 years. Always been a great place to dine and be with friends. Staff is fantastic.

Drive over the overpass from old San Jose towards the Marina...keep to the left past the Marina exit and until the road comes to the small cement plant (you can't miss it). The road to the right is paved, the road to the left is dirt...keep right. Drive about 10-12 minutes until you get to a round-about...There is usually a sign pointing to take the bumpy road to the right to Buzzards. At the bottom of the road is your reward.A small BnB with a Bar and Grill that many tourists and locals go to. The menu has favorites ranging from hamburgers to taco salad, to fish tacos, to the special (and big) tempura fish wrap. They also do mean eggs for breakfast. We had two lemonades, a tempura wrap, a fish and a shrimp taco and plate of mixed fried onion rings and poblano rings. (had to take half the wrap home - it was BIG). Total cost was $28 USDWould we go again? Yes, going again in two days.!Might be a bit awkward for a wheelchair as the "floor" is sand.
Ok this is definitely not fine dining. It was for us, a nice surprise. A friend told us about Buzzards and it sounded like fun, so we gave it a shot. This is a very low key on the sand, tiny place that serves authentic good food and allows you the opportunity to imagine yourself in Cabo 50 years ago. It's about a 20 minute drive north from the Grand Mayan in San Jose del Cabo. It is out of the way, near a small community of beach homes on a deserted beach. There are about 6 tables so the service is very good. A great place to get away for awhile and enjoy the slow Cabo vibe and get a little piece of beautiful beach all to yourself. Our cab drove us there and came back when we asked, to take us home. Take a car if you have one. The cab was $80 round trip.
Buzzards is off the beaten track but well worth the time to get there. You will definitely need a car as it is quite away from San Jose. Went there for lunch and was awesome. Prices are very reasonable.
