Agricola Fratelli Marrone - La morra

We were lucky enough to be greeted by Serena one of the three sisters now handling the Marrone Business and from now on I declare my fully loyalty to the Marrone's wines! besides having amazing wines, their winery and restaurant is a must visit in Piemonte.

A family owned and operated winery. We did a wine and lunch pairing together with a winery tour. One of the sisters gave our group the tour. The wine and lunch pairing was presented by another family member. There were plenty of food for lunch and we tasted 5 wine. The food was ok. By the end of lunch, we all had plenty to wet out thirst. It was a fun event for wine lovers . The winery is located above the rolling hill. The setting was quiet and relaxing. It was a good way to enjoy the country side and learn about Barolo.

I took a group of 50 tourists to this magical place for wine tasting and lunch. Needless to say this establishment is great. A family run winemakers with awesome staff high quality wines and awstruckin views of the Piemonte countryside. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Our visit to the Marrone wine cellar was a definite highlight of our trip to Piedmont! We did a half day cooking class which was more like cooking, drinking wine and laughing with friends. We arrived at 10:30 and the place was pretty quiet. We were met by Milena, a lovely girl who led us to the kitchen to begin cooking with Mihaela, a sweet and talented chef. They had some snacks out for us and welcomed us to begin with a glass of any wine of our choosing. We prepared a beautiful Braised beef with Barolo wine, a russian salad with homemade mayonnaise, risotto and a delicious chocolate and amaretto bunet for dessert. We had so much fun getting to know each other while cooking in the kitchen, all the while tasting delicious wine throughout preparing. After we finished preparing the food we went into the lovely dining area that was now full with others who were arriving to enjoy lunch and wine tasting. We were then served the lunch we made, accompanied by more fantastic wine. It was really a perfect day spent with a lovely and fun group of people. This is a family run winery and you really feel that when you have spent some time there. I would highly recommend this experience to enhance your vacation in Piedmont!

Situated on top of a hill, this winery offers spectacular views of the entire Barolo area from its top floor and terrace. On the ground floor there is a rather large dining area. Wine tasting takes place in association with a predetermined number of course , which are quite satisfactory. The wines are good quality table wines. While the winery also produces higher quality Barolos, those are not offered as part of the tasting.
