What Mary Ann Douglas doesn't like about A.r. Valentien:
Food was excellent but the birthday dessert was insulting: 4 very average donut holes and some dice-sized pomegranate marshmallows!! Really??!! Restaurants far less expensive than Valentien have done better than that, and we paid $375 for our meal. Plus, after a good start with Mick, our server, the service got progressively slower and slower. My husband eventually had to get up and walk over to another table and ask... View all feedback.

One of my favorite restaurants!! The food is amazing, the service is awesome and the atmosphere is cozy and elegant!! The beets with pistachio butter are extremely good!! Ideal for a date night or for a fancy family dinner!
I’ve dined here, lunch and dinner, many times over the past 10 years, and it’s always been a pleasure. Food is inventive, flawlessly executed, and delicious. Beautiful ambiance I recommend dining on the patio for the view) , outstanding, attentive service from the knowledgeable, friendly wait staff, and gracious hosts. Maitre d’ reseated us to avoid a loud table nearby one time). Purse holder, fine linens, classical guitar player in the corner…all the details you expect in a fine dining establishment.
Definitely worth every penny! The service was outstanding, and the food was incredible. Their menu is extremely creative. I tried the parsnip soup and the Ahi Tuna, while my husband enjoyed the lamb, which was cooked to perfection. The highlight of my evening was the truffle martini!
A.R. Valentien really made us feel at home! The service was outstanding. We decided to try something new and ordered the cheese board, but unfortunately, it didn't have anything that suited our taste. Without us even asking, they took it back and removed it from our bill. They truly went the extra mile to make our anniversary dinner memorable.
