Palmer Place - La Grange

I have been coming here for over 35 years. During this time, it has gone through changes, most recently, new owners. Presently, their menu items have gone downhill, more miss than hit, and for the prices they charge, they should at least be tasty and look appealing.

Excellent lunch this afternoon. Food was delicious. I started with the crab cake appetizer. For my entree, I went with the Wagyu filet and a side of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were particularly phenomenal today. I took out, to enjoy later, a tiramisu for dessert because I was quite full. Service was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere pleasant as usual.

1st time here, great place to grab a bite have a cold beverage. Hang out with friends and catch a sports game or 2. Wait staff here rocked it, kind friendly and very helpful on menu items. Food Service was top notch!! Will definitely be back when in the area

While the staff was nice and the place had a nice vibe their famous corned beef sandwich was a big disappointment. The soggy bread, hardish melted cheese, and luke warm meat leads me to believe that this was sitting on the counter for a good while. The half potato skins were pretty good but not what I thought potato skins are. If I return I won 't be having the below average corned beef.
