Casino des Dunes - La Faute-sur-Mer

We had lunch on the terrace here as the sun was shining,we wanted to sit outside with a view of the sea.This fitted the bill,but the food was quite awful,and the manners of the waiter indescribably bad although the young waitress was charming .i placed my knife an fork on my plate when I had finished my starter,the waiter arrived,glared,picked up my utensils and banged them down on the table to be used again.As my starterhad contained foh and I had ordered a steak tartare as main course, I felt this was not acceptable. Steak Tartare was almost semt back.but as I am English I preferred to not complain that it was a very strange colour. Too often restaurant staff have explained to me that steak tartare is RAW madame so knowing that this man was quite uncouth I decided to try it and found it acceptable although I have lno idea what seasoning was sprinkled all over it.I was definitely not the usual colour of chopped beef.My husband had guinea fowl which was a very small portion in a bowl with a lot of juice and masses of multicoloured vegetables which he did not enjoy at all Shame about the food and the terrible waiter,as the spot is perfect,and one of the only 2 restaurants in la Faute where you can see the sea,but in spite of that we will never be back although we live very close and are nearby most days

We had a nice champagne aperitif and then the €14 menu du jour which was really tasty and also really good value for money! Lovely views too

Had a lovely lunch here last September. Sat on the sunny terrace. Service good. Excellent choice on the menu and they also offered a plat du jour, which seemed very popular. We opted for Moules Frites, which were very good. Will go again

Ce "casino" est un petit établissement de jeux, à la taille de la station balnéaire. Trop petit en été, large en hiver. Comme les autres établissements de jeux d'argent, il vous en prend plus qu'il ne vous en fait gagner. Le personnel est tout juste courtois. Dommage !

Pour le Casino des Dunes, le personnel très accueillant. Casino très propre. Les machines modernes. Seul bémol, un peu trop petit car nous sommes montés les uns sur les autres. Autrement, très bien situé avec des parkings aux alentours... Facile d accès.
