What User doesn't like about Juana la Loca:
My review for the bar is 2 stars, for the restaurant 3 stars, but I decided to round to 2 since the martini I had was so poorly mixed that despite I requested a new drink they could not make a decent one. Not sure what could be so complicated in the mixture that involves only a few ingredients and is one of the most important drinks to perform well in any bar. It is because good gin is expensive and they want to save... View all feedback.
This restaurant is beautiful inside - so many simple design details that I loved. And the food was similar, with a great selection of creative cocktails (including a gin and tonic that came smoking in a glass cage like thing, which was delicious). The food was absolutely delicious and service excellent. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience!
This place has become my favourite in Bogotá. You enter through the kitchen, yes the kitchen, and are greeted by chefs and cooks (the kitchen itself is quite pretty). Then there are different áreas, from formal to more relaxed and a terrace. The food is great and the service excellent. Prices are higher than average but if you travel with US currency you´ll find it reasonable.Once you finish your dinner go downstairs to enjoy a night cap at the bar of my second best restaurant in this city: Gamberro.
I had a diner with my business team -a total of 10- and we simply loved it. I had the Arroz Montañés (a Spanish version of a risotto with sausages) and it was simply delicious. I recommend sharing various starters and the same goes for deserts... chocolate volcano takes several minutes to prepare but really worth it, and the crema catalana (Spanish version of a creme brûlée) was also excellent. And all with a friendly and very good service and ambiance.Definitively a place to come back when in Bogota!
I have to say at first, that this restaurant is beautifully designed, you enter trough a huge bar and walk across the kitchen on the way to the dining room, and every space has a lot of designing work, it did even received a Wallpaper magazine award for this. About the food, you can go almost with any dish on the menu and you wont be disappointed, prices are expensive for locals but depending on the current rate at the moment of your visit it will be cheap compared to other similar restaurants in cities like New York or Madrid. It's a great place for a dinner with either with friends or business partners.
