Le Chateau - La Crosse

My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement day with a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere, food, and waitstaff were exceptional! When we arrived, the owner had prepared a dozen roses and champagne just for us. We both enjoyed the best meals we've ever had. I wholeheartedly recommend this unique and special restaurant to anyone!

Le Chateau has a bar in the basement called La Cave. It has an amazing atmosphere. People are dressed from casual to formal. Anything goes. You enter by desending down a spiral staircase. The service is impeccable. Watching the bartenders make drinks was half the fun. The drink menu is very unique and was so good. You can get appetizers from the restaurant upstairs. We had the caramelized onion tart. It was a flaky puff pastry, topped with caramelized onions, confit tomatoes and chèvre. It was delicious! This is definitely on my must stop list when visiting La Crosse. The experience is so unique. You feel as if you are in Europe, not western Wisconsin. You won't be disappointed.

Hard to believe La Crosse has such a gem in our midst, but we are so lucky we do! Wonderful place for a unique dining experience and for that special occasion. From the 'La Cave ' wine cellar (which now has a gorgeous new wine cellar) to the smaller more private dining rooms on the main level, to the stunning larger library, your options are many! They also have a 'Tower ' room for a more intimate made to order type of dining, we were told. So take a step back in time, taste fine French cuisine and get away from the ordinary, daily routine....you won 't be sorry.

You know you've had a great meal when you wake up in the morning and your first thought is about the leftovers! Our meal was so delicious that I even had cold squash risotto for breakfast, and it was fantastic! Thank you for making my birthday dinner so memorable. We began our evening at Le Cave and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were too full for dessert, but we'll definitely be back soon to "complete our dinner!"

We went here for our one year wedding anniversary. We went in expecting excellent service and food and we were blown away. Our server, Adam, was super knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to go back.
