COA is a must-visit Mexican cuisine destination in this area. The parking is limited so plan accordingly. The interior is very modern and elegant, with great art and decorations in every sight line. The chairs are comfortable and the space is an openconcept with outdoor seating available. All the encounters we had with the staff were professional, friendly, and efficient. Theprices of the food and drinks are on the higher side, but we felt it was totally worth it. The blue margarita was spectacularand we quite enjoyed the tequila. Usually when we get margaritas we can tell if the alcohol is cheap. This was top shelf stuff. The corn chips salsa were so satisfying. The chips had a big crunch but were so light, and it complimented the salsa verywell. Great ratios of ingredients and it tasted light and refreshing. My enchiladas were delicious, usually I don't like thegreen sauce but this one impressed me. My wife's chimichanga was the best she'd ever had. Same goes with the mole sauce, I'venever had a better one anywhere else. Everyone else loved their food and my uncle even had a custom order that wasn't on themenu and they accommodated him entirely. The sopapillas were also the best ever, and the churros were just good (big dessertportions, make sure to split it). Overall, an incredible experience and we will be back for more!
Absolutely outstanding place to get together with family and friends. Finally a good Mexican restaurant. Delicious and friendly. Lovvvveee it. Definitely coming back.
Great Cadillac margaritas! Good food but my Chile relleno was barely warm when served. The waitress offered to have another one prepared, but I declined because all the others at our table were already eating their hot entrees. My bad, I should have hadit remade.
We spent a long weekend in La Conner and stopped by COA Mexican Eatery for some Mexican food and tequila. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the vibe really enhances the delicious food and drinks. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The food and drinks were so good that we returned a second time over the weekend just to enjoy more! The outdoor patio is amazing with plenty of tables. We tried the Molcajete, which I highly recommend—especially for sharing. The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the variety and portion size were perfect for two, served alongside rice, beans, and veggies. The ceviche is a must-try—great as an appetizer or a snack to complement the drinks. The chile relleno had fantastic flavor with a light, crispy breading. I also loved how they serve their beans and rice; the whole beans were especially tasty compared to the usual refried beans. The enchiladas were great, too, with the option to mix and match different meats—allowing for variety without ordering multiple plates. The green sauce was particularly delicious. As for drinks, we indulged in quite a few! Being a tequila lover, I was thrilled with their extensive selection, especially the añejo and reposado options. The jalapeño margarita was large and flavorful, the Paloma was a crowd-pleaser, and the strawberry margarita and Michelada were spot on. Most drinks came with a chile/tajín rim, which I definitely prefer over salt. I will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area. Plus, COA is within walking distance of downtown and our hotel, making it easy to enjoy their tequila offerings. Thanks so much to the COA staff!
First, be sure to make a reservation! When we arrived at 5:30 PM, there were many large groups dining. The food is excellent—fresh and flavorful—but the mole stands out as absolutely incredible! The main dishes are generously sized (except for the salad), making it easy to share or have leftovers. The mango salsa is wonderfully balanced, not too sweet. One downside is that the front room is very loud; they could benefit from some sound-absorbing materials, as it was hard to hear someone across a table of six.
