Family run Restaurant with fresh sushi. Tried a combo. Not a huge fan of some of then, quite big and chewy pieces. But that's most likely a me-issue than a they-issue. There was a bit of a waiting time getting seats. The staff was really friendly and helpful, super service! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very small family-owned sushi restaurant. One of the best sushi I’ve tried so far! Very generous amounts of fish, we were two people but ordered a third dish because it was so good. Would definitely come back! Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had the best sushi of my life at a small, unassuming restaurant in Kyoto. The place had no flashy signs or crowds—just quiet mastery behind the counter. Each piece was crafted with precision, and the fish was incredibly fresh. The tuna melted in my mouth with a richness and depth I’ve never experienced before. The squid was tender and almost sweet, with none of the chewiness I used to expect from it. Every bite felt like a revelation in flavor and texture. The uni and ikura were also exceptional, bursting with briny, oceanic freshness. Even the rice was perfectly seasoned and warm, complementing the fish rather than overpowering it. I left the restaurant feeling deeply satisfied and strangely emotional. This meal set a new standard for what sushi can be. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
