Source... read more Every time we visit Kyneton we walk past Source Dining and say 'we must eat here one day '. Yesterday was finally that day, and we were not disappointed. Source delivers a fantastic experience on so many levels. Booking a table was a breeze on their website, the atmosphere and decor are beautiful, warm, intimate and inviting.My wife and I ordered the degustation menu with paired wines. The servings are generous for a degustation, and each dish was somehow more delicious than the last. Source was awarded two wine hats in the Good Food Guide, and we now know why. Our meals were paired with a mix of beautiful wines which enhanced the flavours of each dish. The standout dish was the Angus beef dish, and the service here was flawless. Businesses like this are a real asset to country towns like Kyneton.

Food was matched with exquisite Victorian wines. Highly recommended.

Started with scallops for entree which was perfectly cooked and the Jerusalem artichoke mixed with local Granny Smith apple julienne was a great accompaniment.My partner had the fried quail. Batter is not too oily and crispy. Mains were the beef, nice and tender and full of flavours, and duck was really good especially the slices of cured smoked duck. Good portions so we didn’t have room for desserts.

Never had a bad experience here and would definitely return again. Outside dining available as well as street view for people watching. A great spot halfway through the lost trade fair.
