large Indonesian kitchen with large outdoor terrace and Bali style furniture. the karedok and the vegetarian lawar were particularly delicious and fresh. the tempo tahu was in order, but next time I would try something else, unless sharing with others, because it is a lot to eat alone. I came 2 times. also rica rica tofu (a spicy curry-like pornstar) and urap pakis (damped wild color with cocosus in Balinese crimp),... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Batan Waru:
I wouldn't list this place as vegan friendly, perhaps it depends on the waitress you get. Didn't know what vegan means, weren't clear on vegetarian but did manage to do me some rice with a few bits of carrot. It was tasty for what it was. I was charged the price of the meat and egg dish I had the vegan version of so not good value. Seems to be moving permanently to the mall View all feedback.
I really enjoyed my meal here. I found the staff and food great. Very good for a not strictly Vegetarian restaurant. Menu was Vege friendly with vegan food labelled with stars and Vegetarian food labelled with two stars. Try a pineapple blush smoothie it was so good :
The best place, comfy place, cosy. All the staff are so kind, polite and so friendly. The food was soo good. Love this place and I bet you'll love it too.
Record presentation, service and personnel were excellent. I had the falafel wrap with side salad. I found the package to be a little Bland. Missed spices!

Great Indonesian food with large outdoor terrace and Bali-style furniture. The Karedok and vegetarian Lawar were especially tasty and fresh. The tempe tahu were fine but I would try something else next time unless sharing with others, as it is much to eat alone. Came 2nd time. Also had Rica rica tofu (a spicy curry-like main) and Urap Pakis (steamed wild ferns with coconut in Balinese herbs), both of which were delicious.
