Best. Goulash. Ever. I'd have ended it here but I need to fill the word limit up. Soup started out decent and by the time I got halfway into it, it morphed into five star awesome unbelievable. Warm inviting atmosphere, delicious fare, good service, will definitely be back. View all feedback.
After an extensive hike in Sherbrooke Forest, Janeca and I were searching for a spot to recharge and relax. Tree of Delights perfectly fits that bill and more. This German café offers a variety of hearty dishes, along with classic beverages and desserts. We've visited more than four times, and so far, we can highly recommend:
As a German, I absolutely love this place. I visit especially when I start missing home. The Dandenong Ranges surrounding the charming town of Belgrave make for a perfect destination for a long walk after indulging in delicious cakes and pretzels. The staff are very friendly, the music is fantastic, and the entire atmosphere is calm and welcoming. I often bring my Aussie friends here to introduce them to some German delights. So far, everyone has loved it and keeps asking when I’ll be back to bring more pretzels for them. You should definitely give it a try! *There are many vegetarian options available, but vegans might find the selections somewhat limited. The soy coffees are excellent!
Best goulash I've ever had! I could stop here, but I need to meet the word count. The soup started off quite good, and by the time I was halfway through, it transformed into something unbelievably amazing—five-star worthy! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is delicious, and the service is great. I will definitely be returning!
Everything is handmade, which is nice to see. The “strammer Max” is really nice and the diversity of the menu is great! The apple crumble cake was delicious and perfect. I was hoping to get a piece of the poppy seed cake : Hopefully next time! Wish you all the best for this little cutie cafe
This German cafe serves a range of meaty and filling dishes alongside traditional drinks and desserts. We’ve been here over 4 times and so far can recommend: Currywurst spiced pork sausages Strammermax Meatloaf roll with delicious bacon jam Sausages and sauerkraut Potatoe Rosti and their sausage bretzel, a sausage cooked in pretzel dough! The prices are very affordable for the high quality of the food. Most dishes are under $15. The family run business really looks after their customers with great service too. The are baby friendly with a high chair and kids books available in the corner. If you’re looking for a great cafe in Belgrave, I’d recommend visiting the Tree of Delights!
