Really great food, we got a few Dons to try and share, family enjoyed the curry don pork and teriyaki salmon and our 2 year old daughter, ate all the miso soup! She really loved it! Nice local spot, we'll be back! Thanks View all feedback.
What Sarah Hunter doesn't like about My Kanteen:
This is the new evolution of Momo Rice Bowl that opened during the pandemic. The food is a great concept but after loving the first family takeaway we got from MoMo it seems to go slightly downhill every time we get it. Smaller container, less salad, less sauce etc. We will order again because the concept is so good and relatively rare in Melbourne, but it won’t be for a while and we will re-evaluate then.Service is... Just discovered this local take away japanese place.10/10 value and quality! Great food if you like rice bowls, sushi and sashimi :
This used to be one of my favourite take-away options in Doreen, which is why I'm sad to have to write this review. I sincerely hope this was a one-off mistake, but think it is important to warn future customers just in case.Today I ordered the Terriyaki Salmon Don bowl and a serve of the Renkon chips. Usually the ingredients are bountiful and fresh, but today the salmon was grey, overcooked, and most importantly, full of bones. The bones are thin, white and sharp — easy to overlook — so please be careful if you plan on ordering this dish in future. It was also disheartening to find an ant and a fruit fly in the packaging for my Renkon chips. It raises concerns about the washing and storage of fresh produce. Finally, I recommend exercising caution when it comes to sharing your phone number with the business for takeaway orders. On the 10th of May, my phone number was leaked in a group text with 19 other people, advertising a new company promotion. I've since noticed an influx of spam messages from unrelated businesses.I am not normally one to leave a negative review (when I can easily go somewhere else), but I felt that my experiences warranted concern due to health and safety reasons. As I said earlier, I hope that this was a one-off mistake and would like to reiterate that my previous experiences with the business were excellent across the board. It is not my intention to disparage any of the employees or defame the business; I understand that mistakes can happen and hope everyone can reflect on this one and make informed decisions going forward.Take care!

Great food with super friendly service! The curry is one of Melbourne's best and everything else is lovely and fresh. Serving sizes are generous. Highly recommend
I visited Momo Rice Bowl in Burgundy St, Heidelberg this afternoon, for the first and last time. The Kaisen Udon looked inviting enough in the menu illustration, noodles, seafood and vegetables, topped with a tempura prawn. What was plonked in front of me bore NO resemblance whatsoever to its representation in the menu, and appeared instead to be a barely edible soup of hard-boiled sashimi leftovers. I questioned the missing tempura prawn (CLEARLY displayed in the menu version photograph) only to be told, There 's prawns in there. Yes, there were a couple of coin-sized prawns floating in it, but not the promised goods. I pointed out what the menu shows, and was again told, No. No tempura prawn. End of story. Like it or lump it, apparently. And THEN the Tatsuta Age arrived. Tough, dried-out lumps of fried chicken with the distinct look and feel of something that had languished in the freezer for far too long before being freshened up in the deep fryer. All in all, a rather dodgy, sleazy vibe. I won 't be back, but I will do my best to warn others to steer clear.I’ve edited this review after your response, to include a photograph from YOUR menu of the dish you claim not to have on your menu. It’s also displayed in the front window of your Burgundy St outlet. Given what I was dished up, I would agree that you don’t do Kaisen Udon, but it IS on your menu, and it IS what I ordered and paid for. Your response only confirms my initial impression.
