We were after a quick bite to eat and tried Abacus. The food was tasty. I had the massaman curry and my husband had the trout. We both enjoyed our meals. Service was a bit slow; we had to call someone over to place our order because it felt like we were forgotten. Besides this, the place looked more as a cafe than a restaurant but I suppose it 's an 'all day eatery '. I enjoyed my overall experience and would go back... View all feedback.
What Jack doolan doesn't like about Jimmy Grants Eastland:
The souvlaki are tasty. But way too small and poor value. At $15 they are one of the most expensive souvs in Melbourne, and yet they are a petite fun size snack. I’d even feel ripped off if they charge $10 for it. View all feedback.
Really lovely food, lots of interesting choices on the menu! We ordered a ton of smaller plates and were really impressed with them all, we particularly loved the chicken wings and the calamari delicious! I was also impressed with their service they went out of their way to fit us in on a busy night! And beyond that the waiters were lovely, too!
A very lovely and beautifully decorated place with simple designs and nice furnitures. The tables and the open kitchen is all arranged very well along with the hints of dim lighting. The service is amazing, all the staff and waiters/waitresses were all very attentive and skilled. All of the cutlery and tables were all very clean. The food was also very nicely decorated and the taste was also spot on. We had the chef's choice 4 course meal, with a sourdough starter, a pork belly and tempura fish entree, a calamari and a lamb chop for main, and an ice cream dish for dessert. It was overall very enjoyable and worth the price.
Occasionally grab my table for one here for breaky. Regularly ordered soy latte, tried their cured salmon and avocado pumpkin several time. Food presentation always nice, taste good, portion well. Open kitchen concept, comfy chair, fast service and friendly staff are among the attributes. Well done.

A lovely place to have a meal! The food looks and tastes beautiful. The staff are alert and very quick to serve. The coffee is one of the best in Eastland. I have already recommended to friends.
