What a great place for authentic Beijing cuisines. We tried their tofu with little spice which was so delicious. Firm, spongy and great aromatic flavours. The deep fried pork was sizzling hot when it arrived and was so crispy. The fried rice was plain and not too oily making it a perfect combo with the other dishes. The dumplings are also wrapped fresh so there was minimal juice that came out of them. View all feedback.
Always being here after busy work because it opens until 2:00am. : <br/ The dishes are above average but not perfect. At least is the best one among the station st. <br/
A fairly new restaurant in Box Hill, I have been here only once however my first impression on this restaurant is second to none, well at least around box hill. We ordered stir fried chicken with oyster sauce, chicken dumplings and rice. The service was prompt, the food was delicious with big portions of it. Although I did find it a bit awkward that when I asked for water they served hot water so I had to order cold water again. But that was just the downside of the restaurant. Also there is another thing that I want to mention if you are thinking about visiting the restaurant is that they do not give you the menu that is shown outside and you need to ask for it which I felt was a bit weird since the menu they provide is a bit expensive version of the one shown outside; nonetheless the environment was super nice with clean and modern interior with good food after all that's what matters. Will be visiting the place again soon and hopefully I will be increasing the rating too.
Went there yesterday (Fri 28 Oct as a family of six to celebrate the niece's birthday. Ordered quite a lot of dishes (being a laowai can't remember fancy Chinese names...LOL have a look at the pix . Nice and quiet place (got busy later, it was Friday afternoon , friendly and prompt service. Quality of food very good. Prices very decent! Cuisine I am told it's Beijing Overall impression good. Recommended.
Good food, tasty but there is room for improvement in the service. Only one person working, understaffed, hot water provided was luke warm at best.
We went there on Sunday afternoon. The place was clean and tidy. We had home made braised pork hock and stir fried chicken noodle with satay sauce. <br/ <br/ The pork hock was a cold dish, which was very special and delicious. The jelly like meat did not taste fatty or greasy. Chicken noodle was nice too. <br/ <br/ There was room to improve for service. We were not offered with any tea or water. <br/ <br/ We will go back to try more cold dishes.<br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ We went there again for dinner. We had the cold dish, pork hock again, which was still tasty.<br/ <br/ The homemade chicken dumplings were very nice, in which the fragrance of the mushroom and meat blend very well together.
