Being a fan of Abacus in South Yarra, it was a no brainer to try Abacus All Day when I was recently at Eastland. There are some similarities between the two venues, but Abacus All Day has a gorgeous decor, with a gorgeous mural, cool lighting and plenty of greenery. What Stephna (melbrunchqueen) doesn't like about Abacus All Day:
The venue is very lovely as are the staff. I wish I could say the almond lattes were good but I can’t. It was sour and split. I didn’t finish my coffee as it was unenjoyable. It’s good they make their own almond milk, but the flavour, look and texture was not pleasing. View all feedback.

The coffee and food is fantastic. The folded eggs are so good, nice and spicy. They also have a great range of cakes and pastries, which are so tempting. It's great to see that the Ringwood version of Abacus lives up to the original, and that I have somewhere great to dine or grab a coffee if I'm back out Ringwood way.
Friendliest and most attentive wait staff, also makes a big difference when the staff are knowledgeable about the menu and can assist where needed. Food was beautifully presented, gnocchi was hands down my favourite and hope it stays! Great place if you're after a welcoming place that's a little bit fancy
First time trying this place and was sadly disappointed. I saw the Macadamia and toasted pistachio granola with stonefruit and though brilliant, a paleo/keto friendly breakfast . Hmmm. NO stonefruit at all, (which I immediately mentioned and was rather reluctantly brought a couple of extra strawberries and chopped apple) and not a macadamia or pistachio in sight. That 's right not one. Instead, a scattering of cashews, a load of sticky honey soaked oats, a heap of sticky dried fruit and some pumpkin seeds NONE of which were mentioned in the dish description. Service was disinterested, and I was particularly disappointed there was no follow up after I had mentioned the fruit issue. No one came near us to offer more drinks in the next hour or so that we sat there. Were we not cool enough? Or were the staff just bored?
Interesting dishes with some amazing flavours! Not your usual brunch cuisine! The interior design is classy and elegant! The food did take some time to arrive.
Brunched here twice within a month, great brunch spot for family with kids. Conveniently located in the eastland shopping centre with ample parking, Abacus is an example of a fine establishment that gets the simple things right. Food 5 (This is what I love most about this place Good coffee and iced chocolate, consistent good food and a little bit more exciting than your standard breakfast fare. Tried the cured salmon, octopus, avo pumpkin, chicken burger, little one had the steak) Ambience 5 (Open, clean and comfortable space, beautiful and clean wooden high chairs for little ones) Service 4.5 (Overall pleasant, unintrusive and efficient service. One one busy weekend, they did forget about my booking once, but was quick enough to secure a table for us with minimal fuss. On the same day they've also forgotten to ask how we'd like the kids steak and it came out medium, hence the 0.5)
