Meister Gerhard - Kreisfreie Stadt Koln

Descent Tapas, average wines, but location is fun in the Suedstadt. There are a few good restaurants in the nearby area, but for an outdoor seat, some people watching and pretty good Tapas... you will do fine here.

Colognes second Meister Gerhard couldn't be located any better as its spot overlooking the Chlodwigplatz is always buzzing and bustling regardless of the season and time of day. The Tapas, which are being served in this relaxed atmosphere were decent and fairly priced, while the service stood out as particularly friendly and quick. The accompanying white wine was delicious, rounding the experience up to a pleasant night. The "but" in my title does not relate to the food or service, but to certain aspects of the sanitary conditions, which I am not going to elaborate here.

Cute little bar/café/restaurant in the south of the City. They offer interesting dishes, also with an healthy and vegetarian touch. Since it´s not huge, It is not easy to find a table, especially for larger groups, so a reservation is probably a good idea.

Meister gerhard has two locations one on rathenauplatz and one on chlodwigplatz the first more friendly for rainy days (cozy and inside) the second bette for sunny days with half the tables out on chlodwigplatzthe default menu has more drinks pages than food pages! but u look up and there are boards posted around u with seasonal and fresh optionsit is vegetarian friendly with lots of cheese platters and optionsprice/quality ratio is also very acceptable friendly service and great ambiance!

I discovered this yesterday and returned today.Service is polite , attentive and on point. Espresso was good and cups were hot. Biscuits were not soggy either. Music too was ok and not too loud.Restroom is clean.Location is good.I might go back tomorrowRecommended and a five star place as far as I can tell from two visits.
