We are absolutely thrilled. Incredible delicious menu and in the To Go version (wg Lock down). How delicious must it taste if you can enjoy it right in the restaurant? We're trying! Thank you. View all feedback.
What Hetan Jayaraman doesn't like about Maison Blue:
Although the dishes were nicely presented, I was disappointed by the lack of taste of almost all dishes. Apart from the duck consomme', the wild rabbit and the dessert were poor. The service was also extremely slow, which made my experience even worse. Luckily I...didn't pay... : View all feedback.
We hoped to eat at The Toscanini but it was full and the owner directed us to Maison Blue. We ate outside in an attractive courtyard and it was perfect. Delicious bread and olive oil to start followed by an outstanding amuse bouche. Our main...courses of calves kidneys in Dijojn sauce and a confit of duck were excellent and we treated ourselves to a selection of desserts for 2, The drinks were good, as was the service, and the bill was not outrageous. We would thoroughly recommend it.. It's only downside is the location in an unlikely street about 15 minutes walk from Severinsbrucke.
It was too warm and muggy to sit inside, but too cool and damp to sit outside: the devil and the deep blue sea! We sat outside and the ambience suffered a bit. The food and service were good; we all enjoyed our food. The...wine was very tasty and priced correctly. I can´t understand why this restaurant is currently placed so low on the ranking list because in my view it deserves to be higher.
Second time in 4 days! and simply perfectly arrived for diner and the atmosphere was just as good service was very personal and courtesy will be back
A very enjoyable dinner with colleagues in a very French restaurant with a complete menu of classics and fusion dishes. a rich wine card and very friendly staff that speaks several languages.
It is one of the few restaurants in köln with real French cuisine. the selection of courses is quite large and with beautiful character. although there are some bozz around this restaurant, we could not validate it. the caramelized deenleber pate tasted very. three of us had this court and experienced it. the service is a kind of slower way to slow down for a restaurant that is only half full. we had to let the brot come again to have something on the teller. the 180gr steak was nothing to rave overlooked saw quite boring in the did. the confit de canard was fried in oil and was therefore very crispy for a confit de canard. Of course, the total abandoning was the long hair in the sauce of the duck. two chefs ran around with long black open! hair. the principal knew exactly what had happened. after a much longer than expected dinner, no one was in the mood for dessert. I guess this restaurant just needs to look out to get the bases back. but chances are, I will not experience it again.
