We go there every other year. Food quality is perfect, service is perfect. This time we have been welcomed and served by a very charming and concerned lady, Margaretha. She is very kind and kept smiling even during the busiest period of the evening and...she deserves to be mentioned. View all feedback.
What Fridolin Baur doesn't like about Dux:
My company had arranged for a buffet style evening dinner for the delegates of our conference at the Dorint hotel recently. The food was laid out in a separate room to the dining area adjacent to the bar. As this was a help yourself event, the service was limited to bringing the pre-selected drinks which was all down with a smile. The choice of food was OK. During my stay I had a typical German meal called "Wiener Schnitzel" with potatoes, bacon and onions and the meal itself was big enough for one person and tasted very good. But the price was in my opinion a little bit to high. It might be because the Dorint hotel is in the same building and they try to get guests from the hotel. But there is an gasoil station close to the hotel and in walk of 10 minutes you can get to further restaurants. So they might change there prices to get more guests.
Have eaten there a few times and never diappointed. Very nice Wienerschnitzel and also the burger is nice! Good service, but a bit expensive if i should be a little critical.

I had small beef steaks which were nice and tender with baked potatoes which could have been baked longer. The cheese board was reasonable. The typical veggies, salads and snacks were also on hand. With a couple of Kölsch beers inside me and a good round of chats with international colleagues, this was an OK evening in decent surroundings.
Nicely decorated, german style "Bierstube", a large selection of drinks and beers, with of course the famous Kölsch !
Incredibly rude staff and super slow and overpriced. Really bad service. The waiter was terrible - no warmth at all and the food is not great.
