When you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a cozy, warm atmosphere and friendly people show you the reserved seats...with simple but very comfortable chairs and a white table setting. The order goes quickly and after the salad comes the pizza without waiting... let me say in advance: I have rarely eaten a pizza whose dough alone is a treat. I had pizza with shrimp and garlic and other goodies that I couldn't re... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Da Biagio:
We ordered 3 pizzas to pick up. Even though we showed up almost 10 minutes before the appointed time, the pizzas were already ready and were kept warm in a box. This didn't help with the freshness of the pizza and one can only speculate what the pizza would have looked like if we had shown up at the appointed time. The pizzas couldn't offer us much in terms of taste. We found the edge to be chewy and reminded us of d... View all feedback.
Generally pleasant with good service and reasonably priced. The salad was very nice and quite abundant portion sizes which could suffice by itself. The risotto I found somewhat disappointing it was equally of an ample portion size but the rice was nothing like I have become used to from my times spent visiting Italy. It was like ordinary rice without the soft starchy consistency I associate with true Italian risotto. This was surprising because it appears to be run by either true Italians or people of Italian extraction. The gnocchi was very nice but of a much reduced portion size in comparison to the previous meals.Another little Italian feel which was missing was the usual complimentary limoncello after the meal also associated with Italy, even after tipping. However, generally it was good food at a very reasonable price.
Good flavour and very good price. The Biagio pizza was just perfect, we had it with extra parmesan and the size and taste was just want I wanted. The broscheta was surprisingly very good too, slightly soft but with a solid taste. The pasta on the other hand can be improved, the taste was no up to the same standard as the other things we tried but, the pizza was so good that I will give it 5 stars still.
We have eaten here frequently when we come to Germany. The food is always excellent. pizza is good, but my favorite are the veal dishes.
We heard about this restaurant and we just wanted to try this before we leave Abacco Hotel behind. Inside the restaurant there is a huge pizza oven and you can watch how they make that pizza what you ordered before. I tried the Great Italian...pizza with different red wines. The pizza was exactly how I imagined thin pasta with full off extras! My colleagues ate fishes and those looked really good. After the main course we finished our dinner with dessert! I recommend their panna cotta choco or caramel). I have never tasted better than this! Overall the food is really good, there are not much italien wine different ones). Price/ quality here is far the best than near this area!
