A jewel amongst Cologne bars. Typical interior, great atmosphere, local food and ice cold beer. A must go, you will not regret! Service is super, Steffi, our waitress was a true Koebes! Food quality very good! One of the few Koelsch Kneipen! Local, authentic and...true! View all feedback.
What Chauncey Bashirian doesn't like about Weinhaus Vogel:
I was sold weeping. after that the kitchen was closed. I said, okay and wanted to pay this 3.40 drink with 10 euro bill. I have 5 back. I asked the rest and she forgot English total than give 2 and. I gave back one. I was lucky when people left the mice. two. the main point is that if they do not know, German avoid. don't like you and make you funny, and maybe they'll avoid the kitchen and be careful when they pay. Local dishes and really good beers in Cologne. Credit card not admitted, but from the other side it's really cheap. Staff speak only German
Weinhaus Vogel was a great tavern my twin brother Stephen and chanced upon as we were wandering around this part of town and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here,a traditional authentic German look, wood panelled walls, exposed...brickwork, theres an eye catching serving bar and some nice decorative features such as the huge wine barrels built into the walls, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern, it's a great place to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, a passing Köbe deposited two Gaffel Kölsch beers on our table and as is the norm in this part of Germany marked our beer mat with two pencil ticks to indicate how many beers we had drunk, we just chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in. I really enjoy Gaffel Kölsch beer, it's such a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were totally impressed with this tavern. Weinhaus Vogel is easy to locate along Eigelstein . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, till Midnight. Well worth checking out if your in the area
We went after reading good reviews and we were not disappointed. The place looks very authentic and there were many locals inside. We stayed in the small outside patio taking the last table available. We had schnitzel and half roast chicken, both tasty and good...value, with a meal for with drinks for app. euro. Place very recommendable!
The venue is located in the centre, in proximity of the main train station. Parking on the street is possible but not easy. They have an outside and an inside seating area. We sat outside in the small beer garden. They serve wine and beer....The food is cheap and simple. The service fast and charming
An excellent local pub with its own beer and brilliant food. We had steak and chips with onions for and a mixed grill for Both with bowls of salad. Huge portions and well cooked. The excellently flavoured home brew in pottery steins is...only for a half litre. Brilliant
