Was Blanca Schaden at Toscanini a mag?
A very small and always very well visited restaurant in Cologne's southern city. The place was our favorite Italian for many years, especially because of the very good pizza (extremely thin dough, chewed and huge. Unfortunately, however, the quality has decreased, our last visit was only on average and not justified the arrival of 200km. What Florencio Schmitt dislikes about Toscanini:
It’s very confusing for me to read the other reviews, maybe they changed ownership recently. First of all owners are not Italians. And that’s not a problem of course if they could cook proper Italian food. Second, food is Germanized Italian plenty of garlic on...pizza... food swimming in sauce etc. Third and worst, the waiter was so rude a couple of my friends thought of leaving before the end of dinner. Hmm, das war lecker. Die Pitten sind groß, dünner Boden. Das war so toll. Man sollte unbedingt vorher reservieren, scheint oft ausgebucht zu sein. Die Inneneinrichtung passt gut zusammen obwohl alles unterschiedlich ist, die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und schnell. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und etwas günstiger als erwartet. Die Preise will ich angemessen beschreiben. Wer in Köln einen leckeren Italiener sucht, hier ist man sehr gut aufgehoben.

Das Toscanini ist ein Kleinod, welches immer rappelvoll ist, im Kölner Süden. Sehr gute Pizzen, lecker Nudeln und eine wöchentlich wechselnde Karte. Die Weinkarte ist klein, aber hochwertig. Das Lokal kann ausnahmslos empfohlen werden. Unbedingt reservieren.
