We didn't know until one hour into our extremely long wait for food that the... read more After reading this restaurant was rated #1 in Köln, we gladly booked it for dinner. We didn't know until one hour into our extremely long wait for food that the master sushi chef was off duty today. The miso soup was tasteless and the tempura...tofu was awful. The edema was good. The sake was a disappointment. When the sushi finally arrived, it was satisfactory. There was only one overworked waitress for the entire restaurant. Perhaps on another day it could be better.

We came out from the Kind Jugend trade show today and looking for a good restaurant to eat. So we followed tripadvisor recommendations and ended up at Sushi Koln! The chef Nan, and his staff, welcomed us with a friendly attitude...we immediately knew it was gonna make our day! We started with their best seller Best Friend roll, just delicious! Followed by the toro tartar and miso soup.... I still have the incredible flavor in my mouth! And ended with some Yellowtail sashimi... Yummy!!! The cuisine is clean, service quite fast, friendly, excellent quality for a reasonable price. Totally recommend taking a taxi and going there! Worth it!!! We called, the restaurant said the driver is on his way and sent us the cancellation two minutes later. Never again. There are plenty of Asian takeaways in Cologne.
