It was the best food we had in Cologne.

The server made a huge fuss about an extra plate of tortellini (their mistake; we had repeatedly pointed out which dishes weren't coming), and there was absolutely no willingness to compromise. The steak was okay, but overpriced with minimal sides (three small potato halves, the rest just salad, and a small Coke – around €30). Card payments were only accepted for amounts over €50 – I had to borrow cash, and there was no attempt at accommodation. The service was consistently unfriendly. The drama was so intense that our entire group stopped talking. For the price, the service was absolutely abysmal, and the behavior was disrespectful. Not recommended – my colleagues were more excited about the sausages at the Christmas market afterward. The service was a bit reserved, but I'm sure they were well-intentioned. The food didn't blow me away, but it wasn't bad either. Portions varied considerably, so you should consider ordering appetizers – although, apart from the price, they weren't exactly generous. You can eat here near the city center starting at €22 for a main course, but next time I'd choose something more memorable. For dessert, though, the glass of tiramisu for €9 was a delicious choice.

The fish wa... read more What a wonderful restaurant! What wonderful hosts! And what excellent cuisine! Wow! I'm absolutely thrilled. The vegetables were perfectly al dente. The fish was fresh and succulent. The pasta was served in an incredibly delicious homemade sauce, and the dessert was a generous portion so you don't go home feeling stuffed. An absolute must-visit, even if it's a bit hidden from the main tourist hotspots. But the extra few meters are definitely worth it. We'll be back!
