Delicious Jägerschnitzel, and great traditional daily specials too. Superb service and a great atmosphere. Always a blast!
I've been there over 50 times, often for the potato pancakes, but last Tuesday was the first time I wasn't satisfied. What were those soggy potato pancakes? Was the batter strange? Were they not cooked properly? They were edible, but we weren't happy. Did they refill our Kölsch? Or did the water we ordered simply never arrive? They must have signaled for more several times. The three servers—two men and one woman—seemed to have disappeared. For the first time, we weren't really satisfied, even with the Max Stark beer. And the person at the bar... way too much foam! We only had three drinks, but the bar was badly tapped at €2.20. Next time it has to be better.

Top! Authentic Kölsch, very tasty Päffgen beer! Great menu, the pork chop is amazing, and on Fridays they have crispy and juicy pork knuckle! The only thing I don't find so great (which, unfortunately, isn't uncommon in Cologne breweries) is the consistently very generously filled Kölsch glasses...

Max Stark, the inn with the Päffgen Kölsch in the Kunibertsviertel, should be visited. Delicious Kölsch. Beautiful brewhouse facility. Good service. A real positive pub in downtown. In addition to the Kölsch, there are defensive dishes such as mussels, green cabbages and the tasty little things like Mett, Halver Hahn, liver sausage with rakes. Enjoy the evening with friends.

Brauhaus atmosphere without brewhouse but pea from the barrel. Also in the middle of the day, the suits outweigh the surrounding offices. The place is small, but interesting. If you enter, feel comfortable. The tables are occupied without compassion to the last place, so that you can quickly get in touch. The Kölsch runs well, the waiters too often with single bars. The menu reads in a typical brewhouse, the combs are huge. However, it should be avoided that the fish taste adheres to everything from the last Kalamari. Bread potatoes are preferred and taste as they should taste. A corner pub, as it should be, unfortunately lacks the space for a beer garden. Price and performance.

Here it is worth booking before, otherwise a seat is not guaranteed. On the one hand, this nice, small and modern pub restaurant impresses with the taste of Päffgen-Kölsch and on the other hand with the excellent menu, which is also comparatively favorable. The partly brewhouse kitchen and some more modern food are all recommended and really delicious. Unfortunately, it is less accessible to disabled people because the toilets are only accessible via a relatively steep staircase. Those who do not depend on a walk-in access to the washrooms should look over here!

It's always a pleasure to return here. How often are you comforted as all tables are occupied. That's just one thing that says there's beer. Shame! A small but fine brewhouse with great, friendly baskets. The price-performance ratio is optimal and the food is exellent without exception. I always like to come back. If a table is free.
In the classic ambience of the inn, delicious pulps from Kölsch and lovingly prepared home kitchen unite into a culinary symphony, whose melodies make the Cologne hearts beat faster in the middle of the Kuniberts district. The overwhelming Kotelett with Köln-Wahrpotenzzeichen has left its footprint impressively in the Walk of Food of my gourmet consciousness and left the impressions of other restaurants. Absolutely again!
I was in Max Stark twice with friends. You should preorder. We were there Saturday morning. Right around the corner at the big table next to the entrance, beautiful place. There are delicious monkeys, fast and fast. The food cooked as mutti before. Everyone finds something here. Goods until 17.00. I ordered small things, otherwise you can't drink so much because the portions are so big. If there was a tip from the acquaintance, it would not have been found otherwise.

The place is truly very aesthetically decorated. No cheap decoration, but it was very much inconveniently adapted to each other.I usually didn't want to share the dessert with my husband anymore. Ourins have learned something from it and will order a dessert next time per person. From my point of view, a visit here is completely recommended.Promter and courteous service. I think all the local staff did a great job there.
