I tried the beef tartare new on the menu. For a steakhouse one could expect the recommended beef dishes are high quality. I received a small portion of shopped beef completely covered with a thick layer of sour cream. No possibility to season the tartare. Disappointing.
I like to stop at Maredo when I'm traveling through Cologne. It's cheap and easy with consistently good food. One time I had a terrible cold and the tomato soup was like a gift from heaven. I'm a big fan of diners like this one.
Great steaks are found here. Generally, all meats are awesome. Try also Pimentos de Padron - peppers with salt. Even salad bar is so tasty.
So it is so time and time with this restaurant. I just think that the price-performance ratio is not correct. even if it is often pointed out here that the quality is kept high. the sections were generally very small. the burger was very dry and. the strikes were very much in the necessity of improving. the grill plate was a sweat for the price of Euro.(even if it is because of the quality). meat slices and the meat bark were dry. here it really doesn't fit out the price or it has to be rented time a new chef that really fry the quality meat. the same applies to the steak. for the supplements you would have to buy extra where not even the cauliflower bag was included. there are better steak houses. the service was okay. Unfortunately, the appetizer plates were not deleted until the end of the evening and were in the way of the main course. (I then asked the waitress about it). the desserts were also not very delicious. a cheesecake for me is not a muffin with the sunshade next to him. the salatable was good, it tasted good there. service and quality should be brought to a better level.
