Allein das man jedesmal 5-10 Minuten auf einen freien Tisch warten... read more Das essen ist einfach nur Lecker! Waren mehrfach mit freunden dort. Immer zufrieden gewesen. Allein das man jedesmal 5-10 Minuten auf einen freien Tisch warten muss (das ist kein Kritikpunkt!) zeigt doch nur wie gut der Laden läuft. Es schmeckt super, die Preise sind nicht abgehoben. Das Essen wird immer warm serviert. (nicht wie bei den anderen Restaurants, kalt!!!) Und das ist die wirkliche Türkische Küche! Ich persönlich fahe 50km um dort zu speisen.

We did not have a reservation so we came in an hour early because we knew it would get full later on (... read more We ate there last night at 22 p.m for our Ramadan dinner. We did not have a reservation so we came in an hour early because we knew it would get full later on (and it did). The waiters were kind and attentionned. Our food was ok. We ordered eggplant kebab, vegetarian imam bayildi, mushroom kebab, soups, mixed salads and drinks. My main complaint is about the fact that it was way too hot inside the restaurant. We asked to be seated outside, but were declined as we didn't have a reservation, even though other walk-ins which came later did get seats. (?!) However, it was 37° yesterday in Cologne and there was no AC working. Many guests were using the menu as a fan to try and get some air, because with the fire from the open oven and the outside temperature, it was just unbearable inside the restaurant. Once we got outside, we realised how much better it was and finally had a breath of air.

At the front of the entrance you have the impression of a normal little Döner bude, but if you look to the left you can see the decorated tables. Operation is very good, but sometimes too arrogant.

Kervansaray is a good example that fast food can still be fresh and prepared with good ingredients and Döner is not the same Döner! Miscellaneous meat (bugs, veal, lamb) and fresh vegetables, with self-baked bread...
