We ate for our Ramadan dinner last night at 10:00. We had no reservation, so we came in an hour early because we knew it was going to be full and it did. The wa... read more We ate for our Ramadan dinner last night at 10:00. We had no reservation, so we came in an hour early because we knew it was going to be full and it did. The waiters were friendly and attentive. Our food was okay. We ordered eggplants kebab, vegetarian Imam Bayildi, mushroom kebab, soups, mixed salads and drinks. My main complaint is that it was too hot in the restaurant. We asked to sit outside but were rejected as we had no reservations, although other walk-ins that came later got seats. ! However, yesterday in Cologne it was 37° and there was no AC work. Many guests used the menu as a fan to get some air, because with the fire from the open oven and the outside temperature it was only unbearable in the restaurant. Once we were out, we realized how much better it was and finally had air.

Doner was the worst thing we ate in Cologne. The grilled meat was average, but some pieces were burned. Service: bad. Some waiters ignore you only when you increase your hand. We ordered tea for 4 people, only 3 came. When we said that, they said they'd bring someone else who wasn't. Toilets: terrible, dirty, worst than a public toilet. The only beautiful place was the availability of outdoor seating. All in all, I would skip this place because there are enough alternatives in the Keupstrasse. Apparently it was always great, but today it's bad running.
