Keup is the only restaurant with tablecloths. Unfortunately, they've removed them, and it's become commonplace. If there's no tablecloth, I think the wrap should be served at the table. Keup is the only place I go to, despite everything.
I mean, it used to be nice here, but when I went 10 years later, I was like, We can 't make coffee because the women are telling fortunes, the Wi-Fi password is with the boss, and he hasn 't arrived yet, we can 't make etli ekmek because the chef starts at 1 or 2, this and that, etc., etc. The meat döner was good, the chicken döner was fried on a spit, and the beyti was the kind you could find at any kebab shop on a side street in Turkey, frankly. There are new places opening on that street, and I go there now; these guys have become so dull.
After a long time, I returned to my old hometown with my Turkish friends. To celebrate the occasion, I stopped by Mevlana for dinner and was served a very tasty meal with friendly, attentive service. The dishes were neither over-seasoned nor enhanced with artificial flavors, and were served with fresh salads and were visually appealing. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant with down-to-earth cuisine that doesn't aspire to Michelin-star status, but rather aims to provide its guests with a pleasant, enjoyable evening.
