In einer Seitenstraße der Deutzer Freiheit kann man in indischem Ambiente gut und günstig indisch essen.Alles nett hier. Mir fiel nix negatives auf.Und bedingt zu empfehlen.Die Karte ist umfangreich. Der Service ziemlich und meistens flott.
This clean, friendly little place serves the best vegetable pakoras I've ever had. Also a wonderful mixed vegetable curry, which comes with plenty of freshly prepared rice. They also serve a side order of daal, which is most welcome and very rare in my experience with Indian restaurants. Their naan with lamb is wonderful and their paratha is quite good, too. Everything seems cooked to order, so it may take a few minutes longer, but it's totally worth it. The chicken pakoras are as interesting as the vegetable ones, but were OK, too. All in all, this place is a real homerun!
Tastless dishes, rice dry and hard, not very friendly, bread was very good, totally no atmosphere. Would not recommend this place.
If there was an option to give fewer stars than 1, I would. Pathetic customer experience and serving. Reached the place on Fri night at 9. We were the only other people in the restaurant at the time. We still enquired on the serving time for dal tadka and tandoori chicken . The moment they said one hour, we opted to leave. They reassured they can do it in 30 mins. Meanwhile, their youngest son kept sucking on his thumb and serving food without washing his hand. We asked him not to. Then after waiting for an hour, they brought dal tadka without tadka. When asked why do they call it tadka without seasoning it, the chef, server and their mom came out and defended that that is how they define tadka. When asked for raita, we were provided with a salt-free version of tomatoes added to yogurt. If there is a term for this, it 's pathetic. Maybe the German people like the place, but a strict no for desis.
