Sehr urige Südstadtkneipe.Wenn auch der Betreiber immer unfreundlichen wird, die weibliche Servicekraft ist umso freundlicher. Bier sehr gut. Als Anlaufpunkt super. Sehr gut besucht.
Had a light dinner of potatoe fritters (Reibekuchen) and the obligatory Kölsch beer. Found the atmosphere very local and the staff extremely friendly, will be back!

Wir waren zweimal in dieser Kneipe als weder Fussball noch sonst irgendeine Veranstaltung war. Und ich fand es auch gut so. Denn nur dann hat man die Chance, die hervorragende Küche zu genießen. Als wir dort waren gab es lediglich drei Gerichte zur Auswahl, aber die waren wirklich vorzüglich. Wir haben uns Schnitzel und Roastbeef gegönnt und waren hin und weg. Super frisch, super lecker, perfekt gebraten und preislich absolut fair. Wer also an einem Abend unter der Woche oder abseits von Spielen des FC Köln hier vorbeikommt, der macht nichts falsch, wenn er was zu essen bestellt.

I stopped in to this bar two evenings on my Cologne visit. Generally a very good vibe, which is what initially brought me in off the street. Stafff are helpful and efficient. The regular customers seemed welcoming. Overall a very good public bar. I did not dine, I suspect that kitchen hours may be limited at present.
Went here a couple of nights for dinner and a few drinks. Nice local bar in a great location in the centre of town. Bar very busy when in the 2 nights.
Love this place. A great pub, with friendly staff and great beer. We called for one beer on a Friday afternoon and ended up staying for nine!! Really nice atmosphere. Would love to visit again. Thank you Tony for a lovely pub with friendly staff!

Wonderful bar in the old Severinsviertel. Great place to have a Koelsch and relax. Their Reibekuchen and Apfelmus are excellent, and I had almost forgotten how much I love that food! If you want the real deal, you GOT to stop there.

The small pubs or restaurants with brewing canal that still have flair are becoming more rare – even in Cologne. Many houses do not open daily and not even in the morning. I cannot think about it when it compares the use of personnel with turnover and draws consequences from it. Ambience The Severin district, in the south of the district (on Kölsch: Vringsveedel), was named after the 1237 consecrated Basilica of St. Severin. The neighborhood is known for its typical wood type. And in Severinstraße I also find this pub. It corresponds entirely to my taste: lots of wood, a long meter and uncomplicated guests and hosts. You come in, find a free stool and get a crumb immediately if you nod the corresponding question with your head. Kölsch Here the Kölsch flows freshly from the barrel. And this is not a comparison with the bottle or a restaurant where the beer is longer in the pipeline. Reissdorf Kölsch is one of the market leaders in Cologne; still it's not my favorite brand. But it was quite good here – it also comes to my own mood, the surroundings and the place. There are also other drinks and also a kitchen for small dishes. But I didn't use it. Conclusion 4 – again happy: on a fresh cardboard, well tempered. (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it returns, 4 – again happy, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise” Date of visit: 19.09.2018 [here link]
