Arrived at 5pm to get entry and it was already “full” even though it didn’t seem full at all. They left us waiting for more than three hours with no information, not saying anything… it’s a nice place with good decoration but not worth the wait. In the line there is no distance kept, they treat people like animals. Hyped…
Creepy entry. Weird reception. No vibe. If you insist on making something out of nothing order a bottle of wine instead of long drinks or cocktails. Steer clear of the food. Do not expect a view or an ultra lounge experience. The music is way too low and dated for that scene. If you own a puffy vest and a flip phone ... this is the place.
Cool dachband. beautiful. vibe, but it's a little tricky to find. the entrance is through the shopping center and all the way to the end where they find a lift. no eating up here, but good drinks and cocktails .
The cute place has its own unique mood and charm! they feel special and sometimes they owe it to themselves and the sunset is that I also loved their cocktails!
We went here and had great time but ended up with bad experience. The bar supposed to close at 02:00 Am and from 1:40 they started kicked us out. We have seen another table with group which sit long time as us but they got to stay without any warning. We asked the bar guards and they said the group worked here (oh! Really? Like us sit since evening and they worked in Deck5) Also when we were ready to go just waiting for few friends to come out from restroom; they still kept asking us to leave immediately even we told we just had to wait for friends to be out and left together. (The time was not even 2:00) In between, my friends tried to speak with the bar guards why they differentiate with different groups like us or other group who can stay. They said they are the boss and they can decided who to stay. This was really rude and bad experience. I really like the view here but for the bad experience, I wouldn’t feel to come again or recommend anyone who expect service here. bar didn’t follow the time they indicate on google map -bar guards were rude and kept kicking us out without listening to our situation. -differentiate between different clients. We paid 3 euros entrance fee and bought serval drinks like others. We should got the same client experience like others!!!

Great place with a beautiful view of berlin and especially the sunset. i been there twice and both times we saw beautiful sunsets. highly recommend to visit on a clear day with few clouds
Had been there for an office event. The place is great with beautiful views, nice ambient and good food. In summer you can see beautiful sunset. Don’t forget to pack a light sweater or jacket even if its peak summer, as it can get little chilly at late night.
Very cool place! Amazing view. Only few options for eat. But I loved it! The salad is excellent:
The place is perfect for the summer, as it has a giant terrace with a beautiful view. The prices are not the cheapest, but let’s be honest you are paying for the view and the vibe! Be careful and don’t wear high heels as the place has sand parts and you might sink into them. The place in general has wooden boards to walk on, but you still somehow get that naughty sand somewhere. Really looking forward for the new season and definitely will come back again!

You think you're Berlin cool? Not until you've been to a rooftop beach bar in Berlin, then you're not. Did I mention this is at THE MALL??? German efficiency wins again. You get your shopping done, get your nails done and suddenly, you're thirsty. Now what? Pay the 1 euro entrance fee and head straight to the tiki bar set up. An ice cold Hefeweizen or a G&T will be waiting for you. You'll be given a token keep it so you can have your deposit back. (this ensures the bartenders that their glasses are returned to them! Pick a spot whether it's on the daybed (popular and always taken , the benches or those beach chairs that you can dig into the sand. YES. Real sand! Watch out for overly chatty Germans, they mean no harm, but if you want peace and quiet ... let's just say this isn't the place for that! ; so put on a smile and make new friends! Prost!
The last time I went here it had a €1 door entry fee. Now, it 's €3. So 4 of us pay, obviously, €12 so if you 're only wanting one drink, it 's a bit pricey. Beers were ok but one friend had a 'Skinny **** ' basically vodka, lime and soda water. He put still water in it!! Although the barman changed the drink to soda water, €9!!!!?? It 's a shot of vodka ffs! I know this is thought of as a 'hipster ' cocktail and the hipsters of Shoreditch might be happy paying through the nose for but vodka and water do not a cocktail make! My other friend had an 'Aperol Spritz '. We witnessed the Spritz wrongly made: A small wine glass was used with too much ice for the glass size (it should 've been a bigger red wine glass), then filled mostly with Aperol. A splash of Prosecco and topped with soda water... €8!! Apart from the bartender not displaying any signs of experience, the other guy (who takes your order and you pay), had presumably been on the lash the night before and gone straight to work on the till. He was quite obviously shot away! After all that, the place is a lovely oasis and they 've done a good job making it that way. It 's a little more than your average Berlin beach bars with good music and as well as plentiful deck chairs, there 's loads of sheltered seating and pergola type seating areas. Haven 't tried the food so can 't comment apart from it looks good pizzas and tortilla dips etc. All in all, a nice place for a few drinks (to make the door charge worthwhile), and personally I would steer clear of the cocktails!
I went for pre-dinner drinks around 9:00pm on a Tuesday night. Thankfully I was able to enter through the mall and take the elevator... cuz that's a lot of stairs. The place was packed, but we still had options (sharing a table with another couple, a couple of beach chairs in the sand. The people were chill, the music wasn't overly loud. It's definitely more of a chill scene rather than some clubby atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced for a scene-y place and the bartenders were nice.
I'd been hearing good things about Deck 5 but all I really new before hand was that it was a beach bar in a raised location offering great views over Berlin. So it took a wee while for the penny to drop that the Deck 5 from the name explains exactly what it is: Its the fifth floor parking deck of the multi-storey car park attached to the shopping mall. They've brought in sand, seats and tables to convert this temporary home for cars into a summer destination for those who like their drinks with a view.

Since 2014 I visited the location on the highest parking deck of the beautifulhauser allee arkaden several times, last on the 4th juni 2016. a location on the beach with sandy floor, wooden walks, cozy cooling corners and pavillons offers a fantastic view over the city and great possibilities for a sunset to two or friends. the entry is currently a euro. the drinks prices are, in my opinion, overpriced, especially since the glasses often contain more than half water from the oversized ice cube filling. in my opinion, the bar staff is either completely unqualified or checks the attention of the guests. in any case, they should check their back money, after any glass that needs to be paid, they give a hypothek mark and check the money when they return it. Otherwise, the expensive drinks become even more expensive. the offer of mixdrinks- let's say, let's see. it becomes very sad when they are looking for alcohol-free drinks. the activity of the rod thus essentially exhausts to the opening of bottles. next to the beach bar there is also a beach grill. the offers looked delicious, but we didn't try. toilets are available, but probably paid.
With beautiful weather in the summer months this location is highly recommended for a relaxed summer evening. the price-performance ratio is correct, there is a cabinet and dining, toilets are clean and the facility on the parking deck looks well maintained. the good view on berlin gives this bar a very special flair. protective tents for sun or rain are available. P.S, the cost 1 euro and for groups of 5 people is worth a reservation for all cases, because for a spontaneous visit you will find a place for all others hard.
The deck 5 is located on the top parking deck of the shopping center beautifulhauser allee arcaden. they drive comfortably from the inside of the shopping center with the chair to the highest level of it. really fantastic views over the city and the sandy beach with lounge music ensures a really relaxed atmosphere. the prices are in the prenzlberger medium. a must in berlin!
