Opened for about 30 years by Franz Lauer, this cozy café is known for good coffee and numerous high quality teas. A specialty are the homemade cake varieties. Cosy café with family atmosphere. In winter you can warm up at the fireplace.
Nice café. Clear menu, but always delicious. Good tea selection. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. Always like to get there.
It is simply nice and cozy here to breakfast. Clear buffet, where nothing is missing and that is constantly being laid down. Sunday morning it is better to reserve. There is also a courtyard, so you can enjoy breakfast outside in the appropriate weather.
Outside it was cold, we had already visited some places in Nippes. In the early afternoon the Cafe Kommödchen was on the program. Inside it was warm; in the oven the fire blurred. The guests seemed to feel comfortable. We, the small troupe of the Eat the World Tour felt as well. Cheesecake was given to us, which was very tasty. To my regret, unfortunately, without raisins. Also the other cakes look very appetizing; the operation very friendly. Overall, it was a great experience to be returned to the Cafe Kommödchen. I'll be back.
Cake and coffee are very good. The brunch with a manageable offer leaves to be desired: little freshness, except the fruit salad. Very sausage, egg and cheese-loaded, two boring vegan bread spreads from the glass, no whole grain bread, some black bread, no margarine or nutme. A fresh, colourful salad would have picked up the offer!
