Sona Rupa Indian - Kobe

An out of the way place with a great reputation and really delicious food. Selection of lunches and nice atmosphere make for a good choice to eat at. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bit pricey for lunch but I guess you pay for quality. Worth it!

It was good with vegan lunch but I think it's little bit expensive...the restaurant in Tokyo are also in same quality and quantity of food is same still they charge 1200 including tax....

The owner is very rude. I guess he is getting crazy day by day with age. Incident happened with us on our last visit. We just asked when we will get our remaining order. He got angry on that saying I have only 2 hands. And he also added I do care for Japanese customer, I don’t care for you. Being 30 years in Japan, such a shame to react like this. Spoiling the name of his restaurant. Worst experience of my life. Food is tasty but because of such atmosphere we couldn’t enjoy.

In my experience to eat at some of the best Indian places of the world, I think sona rupa kobe is a 7 star place. the host, herr bijon mukherjee, is one of its kind, and the food quality and the whole menu with the taste is easy to die. very reasonable and truly an Indian gem near chinatown and near the Sannomiya station....a must visit for anyone who loves Indian food with love. thank you!

Probably the best Indian restaurant in kobe, soma rupa could usually look enough, but soon enough they will notice the relaxing lighting and careful decoration, and this is only for beginners. eating is as delicious as it looks. I would recommend the mutton biryani, mutton is rare in japan, and very rare prepared this well.
