Staff understood that we were tourists and when we asked about Kobe beef. She recommended a place and even requested a reservation.

The place has gone a little upmarket from its original location but it's still a great place for a beer and a bite. The food is good. The fried chicken karage are excellent, some of the best I've ever had. They also have a 5 beer flight if you want to try a variety of beers.

Menus are in Japanese however the beer list does give the names in English as well. You’ll find it up stairs along with some boutique shops and a hairdresser.
