Was expensive but good food Parking: Out front but limited parking
Hours say open until 10pm and we showed up at 930pm and the lady ran to the door to lock it! Really!
We ordered a Canadian bacon, mushroom , Saurkraut pizza today. BEST PIZZA EVER!! Thank you so much..
One oddity was that they were out of French fries. Our waitress mentioned we could choose something from the sides menu as a substitute at no extra cost, but we were still charged $1 for each substitution. We started with an appetizer of wings, which were fantastic! However, we only received six, and they cost $12.95. To make matters worse, the menu didn’t list any prices, so we didn’t realize what we would be paying until the bill arrived at the end. After all, it’s a dive bar in Knoxville—how much could it really be? Well, our lunch bill came to $74 for two people just having bar food. I ordered two cranberry vodkas, which were $4.50 each but were quite small with barely any vodka. My husband had three draft beers, also served in small plastic cups, which were $6 each. On top of that, we incurred a $4 fee for using our debit card. We have no issue paying higher prices when they’re justified, but the shock of these prices left us unsatisfied. If the prices had been more reasonable, we could have overlooked some of the food's shortcomings. As it stands, we won’t be returning. It would also be helpful to print the prices on the menu to avoid any surprises. I didn’t take any photos since I didn’t think I’d need them for bar food!
The food is excellent and reasonably priced. However, I have a problem with their operating hours. For a hidden gem like this dive bar, their hours are too inconsistent and close too early for me to visit regularly. Whenever I drive by, I find myself unsure if they’ll be open or not.
