Our first visit to this lovely pub, we wanted a pub with character and atmosphere and everything English. This ticked all the boxes, and the staff were very friendly and the proprietor was a great host as he very kindly shouted us our coffees. It was a lovely way to spend a day catching up with friends for life.We look forward to bringing our family here soonCheers Julie Allan View all feedback.

Went here to have a steak that I heard was decent. 50 minutes to get it after had to ask was it ready. One medium one well done. Should of took pic. Pink almost raw. They were clearly embarrassed as we left it on the...plate cut up to see the pink raw meat... Gave us a half arsed excuse of we had a big order just before we ordered. Shabby. Also. Point of view. The singer telling people he's a busker outside a coles i... View all feedback.
Fabulous food. Great service. Excellent atmosphere. The new owners have really turned this place around over the last year or so. Highly recommend.
Our first visit (and will not be our last) was on Mother's Day. A cheery open fire in a room with only three tables, complimentary champagne and flowers to the mums and excellent food. They went out of their way to provide a Vegan pasta meal for one of our family and everyone that had the Rack of Lamb gave it glowing praise. I would highly recommend this establishment with its warm, friendly atmosphere and the addition of a singer/guitarist made for a lovely day. But be warned, you had better book as it is very, popular.
Food was fantastic , atmosphere & our table was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. We will be back soon.
We love the cosy atmosphere of this restaurant. The locals, owner and staff are all friendly and welcoming and the decor is nicely done. The chefs always cook up a storm and I have never been disappointed. The have great musicians / bands on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights that never fail to entertain. Pop in and say hi.
Something a little differenent, and the style of resturant Melbourne does very well. The Acorn as the feel of an English Pub, with a bar and seperate dining areas. There is normally a live band or small group of musicians just jamming for a fun night with dancing, or just sitting around the bar after dinner listening to the music.Good, fun local crowd giving The Acorn an enjoyable atmosphere. Food is very good with a small but changing menu giving plenty of variety from a Hamburger or Parma to more exoctic dishes. Prices are reasonable, what you would expect to pay in the larger Pubs or Clubs, but the value is much better. Can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, but all adds to the experience.Summary: Good food, good music and good atmosphere. Very friendly, intimate English Pub feel. In the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, but worth the trip.
