My family and I go here for Thai we drive 30 minutes to get here and drive past at least 6 other Thai places. This is amazing Thai, brilliant flavour, so fresh, just lovely. The service is always perfect, the staff are friendly and kind. Eat in or take away, the food is amazing!!!I cannot recommend highly enough!!! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tamarind Thai Cusine:
The staff are not welcoming and do not honour the hours of trade. Upon arriving at 5 minutes after 10.00pm for a quick meal. We were refused seating and told that despite hours on the door we could only have take away. The young waiter lacks insight into the world of business commerce and trade. The food falls short of the mark and is confused in its cuisine and is somewhat boring in its flavours. This is a tourist d... View all feedback.
Great food, but every time we order takeaway we are told it is cash only as the credit card machine isn't working...hmmmmm

Lovely food, lovely people, can't imagine a happier night out.We get takeaway from here probably every week and dine-in sometimes 2 or 3 times a month. We've never been disappointed.Hilights; red Thai curry / green Thai curry / satay beef and chicken / Thai curry puffs, golden bags. Crikey - think we'll have it tonight! Few tips. I don't like take away rice as I find it greasy or cloying - we do our own for take away. We get 1 or 2 entres and one main and that suits the 2 of us.When we die in, we get 2 entres and at least 1 main and often take some home.We don't like a lot of spice and they DO make it "extrra very mild" for us. Works well.Loely place, lovely people, lovely food.
Food was good and large serves. Service was good and would definitely go again. First time a bit of a gem.
My friend and I, along with my two teen daughters went out to dinner on a Saturday night to this small Thai hotspot tucked away in the Dandenong Ranges. It is best to make a reservation but we were lucky enough to get a table for 4 without one. We ordered chicken larb gai, pad thai, as well as a veg red curry and a chicken green curry. Their coconut rice is also delicious. We obviously went way overboard with the mains and could have done with 2 to 3. The portion of pad thai is large and would easily serve 3 as a full meal. Everything was delicious, well spiced and not greasy. The owners are lovely and friendly as they take your order and serve you. They also do a brisk takeaway business so you might wait to have your order taken but if ypu are in a rush or impatient just signal them and they are happy to oblige. The atmosphere is light, relaxed, and pleasant. I have no qualms recommending Tamarind Thai as the #1 place for Thai food on this side of the Hills
