Nice restaurant with great food. We found it a nice break from the “Hotel Restaurant” where we lived, which served only expensive food that was too complex. Hverinn had a great menu with burgers, packs, grilled cheese etc. and a soup buffet. They also had vegan options for my wife. Really friendly owners. Really awful experience here. Our driver stopped so we could use the restroom en route to our hotel. When we walked inside we said hello but received no response as she was on the phone. When we came out of the restrooms a very angry and sour lady told us we were not welcome and that we had to pay 500 ISK each for the restroom. She said more rude things and told us to get out. The owners are what makes this place special! Food is the BEST! Fish and chips were light and crispy could use a few more fries. Soup buffet was amazing tried 3 soups Tomato Carrot Mushroom All were fantastic! The carrot cake.OMG! Definitely in my top 3 I’ve ever had. If I was in the area longer I would have eaten here again. The campsite is located behind a lovely roadside restaurant with very friendly staff. We did not eat at the restaurant but the food looked great and they grow their own vegetables in greenhouses onsite. Campsite facilities were not ultra modern but all clean and easy to locate. There is basically one shower room with 2 shower heads, which works well for a family or couple showering together but means that you need to take up 2 showers at a time if you prefer privacy. The setting is sheltered and very picturesque, with a few separate areas enclosed by trees.
A wonderful green spot! Faculties were wonderful and charming (warmed-up bathrooms! . The owners are very friendly and helpful (thanks again for the ride to krauma! . The thermal spa „krauma“ is (with a car 3 min away, walking 40 minutes. It’s a wonderful spa, but you have a public pool hot pot nearby. Next to the campground is a restaurant, which looked very nice delicious!
